Good Morning LPs and EPs,
I don’t usually share memos about books.

But this one hit different.

I’ve followed Gene Wojciechowski for a long time. Always respected how he sees the game beyond the scoreboard. Not just golf, but the psychology, the pressure, the belief systems behind it.

I was able to get a preview of All Carry: A Novel and it pulls you in fast.

At the surface, it’s a golf story.
But underneath, it’s about something a lot bigger:

Belief vs what can currently be proven
Faith vs proof

What happens when something shows up that shouldn’t exist… but does

There’s a thread running through the story that mirrors how we think about investing:

Conviction has to show up before consensus.

If you need full validation, you’re competing in a crowded trade.
If you can underwrite the uncomfortable, that’s where outsized outcomes come from.

That’s venture.
That’s building anything meaningful.

That’s life, if we’re being honest.

Most people wait for certainty.
The interesting ones move anyway.

And every once in a while, something comes along that doesn’t make sense…
until it does.
